th-workshop2020

The annual DESY Theory Workshop is organized by the elementary particle physics community in Germany. Due to the exceptional circumstances linked to the Covid 19 pandemic this year, the workshop will be virtual and non-topical. The initially planned topical workshop “Bright ideas for a dark universe" is postponed to next year. There will be no topical sessions of specialized talks by invited speakers. Instead, we will offer a forum for broad discussions across theoretical particle physics and related fields.

The main goal of this year special edition is to keep providing an opportunity to young theorists to present their work, with what used to be 3 parallel sessions, that will no longer be parallel:

  • One day Strings & Mathematical Physics
  • One day Particle Phenomenology
  • One day Cosmology & Astroparticle Physics

The first talk of each session will be given by one invited speaker, to offer some status overview of the field.
